New York, January 14, 2009 — To support recent European growth, Humanscale has opened a new showroom in London. The sleek new space offers an innovative laboratory-style customer experience.
At 4,300 square feet (400 square meters), Humanscale’s new international base in the Clerkenwell district of London is twice the size of its previous location. The showroom, office and meeting space cover two levels of the historic Parchment House building—formerly a Victorian-era paper warehouse—connected by a galvanized steel spiral staircase. Designed by Gensler, the showroom offers interactive workstations and compelling wall graphics to help tell the story behind and benefits of Humanscale’s innovative designs.
The new showroom has already played host to the A&D community with the much-anticipated return of Designers Saturday, as well as an exclusive preview of the Diffrient Work Chair with legendary designer Niels Diffrient. In February, Humanscale will invite customers to explore ergonomics in the modern office with an educational session presented by internationally recognized ergo expert Professor Alan Hedge from Cornell University.
