NEW YORK, September 22, 2011 – Humanscale will debut the Float height-adjustable table―a next-generation, sit/stand table—at IIDEX NeoCon 2011. This revolutionary product is named for the way in which it very nearly “floats” into position when it is moved either up or down, providing simple adjustment with minimal and constant force.  In developing the Float height-adjustable table, Humanscale has ventured into―and reset the standards for―an important product category.

Sit/stand desks such as the Float height-adjustable table are greatly beneficial to users’ health, as they encourage a combination of sitting and standing. Research shows that sitting for a prolonged period of time is a public health risk that cannot be offset by exercise, while standing all day is not considered a perfect solution, either, as it can cause discomfort and swelling in the legs and feet.
