NEW YORK, June 4, 2010 — Humanscale will debut its newest monitor arm solution at the 2010 NeoCon World’s Trade Fair: The M8 monitor arm. Through its unique and innovative design, the M8 offers incredible weight capacity within a sleek, slim profile that accommodates the widest range of monitors available today.

Designed by the award-winning Humanscale Design Studio, the M8 offers a much-needed solution to a modern workplace conundrum. With personnel turnover, shuffling workstations, and the constant evolution of technology, today’s workplace demands a monitor arm flexible enough to accommodate ever-changing needs. What’s more, many applications today call for heavy monitors or dual-monitor configurations that traditional arms just can’t handle.

Designed to support virtually any monitor now or in the future, the M8’s high-capacity construction accommodates small monitors weighing as little as eight pounds, large monitors weighing as much as 40 pounds, and everything in between. If a dual-monitor configuration is needed, the M8’s optional crossbar support easily accommodates two monitors weighing up to 20 pounds each. Such incredible versatility means not only can it handle virtually any monitor available today, it is flexible enough to grow and evolve with a company—an invaluable feature for today’s workplace.

In addition to its strength and versatility, the M8 boasts superior ergonomic function and sleek, modern aesthetics. Despite its high-capacity design, it nimbly offers 11.5 inches of dynamic height adjustment and a 22-inch reach, allowing the user to quickly and easily position the display for ideal ergonomic viewing. A 180-degree stop mechanism prevents the unit from over-rotating and causing wall damage, and Humanscale’s innovative Quick Release ball joint eases the time and effort associated with monitor installation and removal. Plus, a built-in fine-tune adjuster incrementally adjusts the height of dual monitors for a perfectly aligned display.

The M8 features an integrated cable management system to improve workstation aesthetics and organization, and its sleek, high-tech design forms the perfect complement to any modern workstation. It is currently available in two finishes: Polished Aluminum with White accents and All Silver.

Made predominantly of recycled aluminum, the M8 contains more than 62% recycled and 99% recyclable content and can be integral to the achievement of a number of valuable LEED credits. Built for long, durable life of service, it is backed by a 10-year 24/7 warranty.

The M8 carries a starting list price of $460 and will be on display at the 2010 NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, June 14 – 16 in Chicago.
